Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When can I schedule an appointment?
A: You will usually be able to make an appointment within a few days to a week.  Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Q: What do I need to bring with me for the first appointment?
A: All you really need is your health insurance card and possibly your co-pay amount, if convenient.

Q: How should I prepare for the first appointment?
A: There is really nothing you have to do to prepare. You can feel free to say anything you want to Dr. Cuetara or he can ask a few questions to get the ball rolling.

Q: How long does therapy last and how frequently should I go?
A: Each therapy session lasts about 50 minutes and you can schedule appointments every week, every two weeks, once a month or at any interval you choose. The treatment duration varies widely and you and Dr. Cuetara will agree on this together. Some people only come for one or two visits while others continue for much longer.

Q: How will I know when it’s time to stop therapy and what results can I expect?
A: : You and Dr. Cuetara will agree on goals for therapy and will decide together when these goals have been met. In general, you should feel calmer and more upbeat and have a clearer idea what your life goals are.
